Finally, a light version of Google talk that is not really light on features but light on your systems. For the slow system users of Google talk, here comes the boon the “Google Talk Gadget”.

The Google Talk Gadget can run itself on any platform i.e., it may be your browser, sidebar desktop widget, or add it to your personalized Google start page.

Also it is having the tabbing system, means it will be easier for the user to chat with different people at same time.

You can add your contacts from this version by simply clicking on the “Add” button. However, it imports your contacts from your gmail account or the Google Talk Messenger.

If you have your own webpage or blog, Google Talk gadget can be added to it. Just copy the code mentioned below.

HINT: You may customize width & height to suite your template.

Or you can also add a button to your site so your visitors can pop out the Google Talk Gadget when they visit your page. If you want them to chat with you, just list your username next to the button and ask visitors to sign in and add you as a contact. To add the button to your page, just copy this script into your site’s HTML:
Google Talk

And guess what you can also enjoy flickr or picasa slide shows in it. Now isn’t that really good. But that’s not the end, it can even handle Youtube videos in it. All you have to do is just send the link of the video or the picture gallery as a simple message. It will automatically open the flickr sideshow or the video details in it. Watch out this googling video of the new Google Talk gadget.

The Hack: You may run the Gtalk gadget in your Firefox browser sidebar. Just bookmark the link given below and open its properties and tick the checkbox yelling out “Load this bookmark in the sidebar”. Click OK. And open that bookmark. Google talk will load in the sidebar of Firefox.
