Why is iPhone still facing a fear of its flop?
Potential Customers are in a wait of actual review of the product. Till now a few professional hands have touched the iPhone. Some points that customers are waiting for are :-

  • Will the iPhone touch interface will be as useful as Steve told at the launch of iPhone.
  • How long customers will feel ease in opening an application by touching the screen several times.
  • iPhone lacks the 3-G technology. Will it be overcomed in the future models
  • Apple has contracted with AT&T to sell its phone in their networks. This will let many existing customers to change their network.
  • Some people write a lot of e-mail with their mobile phone. Will they feel easy in switching from a button keyboard to a virtual keyboard interface.
  • Apple’s iPhone comes with an flash memory storage. What if Apple replaces this with a hard disk drive in the future models. Spending up $600 again is not a joke.
  • What if the music quality of the phone is not good as an original iPod.
  • Music fans are already not satisfied with the current memory space.
  • The main big point is the price. A $500 for a 4GB and $600 for 8GB phone. Many customers are waiting for the price to get down.
  • Many competitors already exist in market with more features and at lower prices than iPhone (eg. Nokia N95).

There are many more reason why iPhone can be a flop. Apple has plans to sell 1 million units in the first year.
