Ever wished your name to be sent to the moon? Then your luck has started charming because your this wish has changed into reality. NASA’s new project “Send Your Name to the Moon” will let you do that actually.

You can send your name to the moon & in return NASA is giving you a PDF Certificate certifying that you have joined Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) “Send Your Name to the Moon” Project and your name has been added to the database containing names that are going to be sent to the moon embedded into an small chip.

The site “Send Your Name to the Moon” is creating a database of the names of the people joining this project. The data base will then be embedded onto a small micro chip that will be sent to moon.

“Everyone who sends their name to the moon, like I’m doing, becomes part of the next wave of lunar explorers,” said Cathy Peddie, deputy project manager for LRO at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. “The LRO mission is the first step in NASA’s plans to return humans to the moon by 2020, and your name can reach there first. How cool is that?”

Want your name to be added to that list? Then just open this website (http://lro.jhuapl.edu/NameToMoon/) and type your First Name and Last Name there.  That’s it! You can also download a PDF Certificate from there.
